The Thermo Scientific™ imPULSE™ Single-Use Mixer (S.U.M.) is designed for high-performance mixing across a broad range of bioprocess applications, including media and buffer preparation, pooling, final formulation, and viral inactivation. Featuring innovative disc mixing technology and a rolling diaphragm interface, the system delivers uniform, particle-free blending from 30 L to 5,000 L with true linear scalability.
Each imPULSE mixer integrates a Touchscreen Console that simplifies process control with automated mixing recipes, pH and saline titration, metered fill and harvest, and advanced monitoring of agitation, temperature, mass, pressure, and conductivity. The system’s load cell–based weighing ensures accurate batch measurements, while jacketed and insulated stainless-steel vessels provide precise temperature regulation.
The BioProcess Container (BPC), available in Aegis3-14 or ASI 26/77 film, eliminates cleaning requirements and reduces cross-contamination risk. The optional BioTitan™ Retention Device provides a secure 360-degree seal as a modern alternative to cable ties.
